This eye-catching sculptural ceramic vase decorated with seashells and a big starfish is versatile and totally unique! Perfect as a wedding gift, a Mother's day gift from a son, 9th anniversary, or mom's birthday gift idea, this flower vase would look great as a shelf decoration for the living room in every home decor! It can be used as a flower vase, utensil holder, or decorative vase, either indoors or outdoors. This organic vase textured has been fired at a high temperature and will keep its deep color.
I made this vase on the potter's wheel, then hand altered the shape and created this texture and sea motifs! After a few weeks of drying, it was handpainted, glazed, and fired again.
The materials used were: stoneware clay, underglazes, oxides, and a lovely, glossy, lead-free transparent glaze. A really interesting piece of Portuguese pottery!
